Southern Police Institute Alumni Association (SPIAA) Virginia Chapter will be hosting an Intelligence Led
Policing/Leadership Model Training October 20 - 24, 2014, at the Hyatt Place
Richmond Arboretum, 201 Arboretum Place, Richmond, Virginia 23236. This
training is open to all law enforcement officers with emphasis placed on
command and executive level officers. You do not have to be a SPIAA member to
attend.
FACILITATORS
Colonel Albert Frost, (Retired) Hillsborough
County Sheriff’s Department, Hillsborough, Florida and Lieutenant Albert Selke,
Hillsborough County
Sheriff’s Department, Hillsborough, Florida. Colonel Frost has 33 years of law enforcement
experience and is credited with developing and implementing
the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s
Department ILP program known as “LINC.” Both
Colonel Frost and Lieutenant Selke have spoken at length about the
Hillsborough ILP Policing Model at Southern
Police Institute National Alumni Conferences and various other national law
enforcement venues.
SOME OF THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS
TRAINING
·
Participants will gain an understanding of the precepts of
Intelligence Led Policing (ILP) sufficient to support a decision to pursue ILP
as an agency strategy;
·
Participants will gain an understanding of what it takes to make
this new strategy a reality;
·
Participants will gain an understanding of how resource decisions
are made within the ILP business model;
·
Participants will work in small groups to experience practical
applications of the ILP concepts and ideologies;
·
Participants will gain insight on the methodologies utilized to
implement the ILP strategy within their own organization.
LODGING
The Hyatt Place Richmond Arboretum – 201 Arboretum Place,
Richmond, Virginia 23236. Room rates are
$65.00 per night plus tax for both single and double occupancy. A block of rooms has been set aside for this
training, therefore to make reservations email Joe Gajewski at joe.gajewski@hyatt.com or Yvonne Wright at yvonne.wright@hyatt.com and reference this training to receive the special rate.
REGISTRATION
FEE: A registration fee of $275.00 will be charged for each attendee and
there are only 40 seats available for this course.
Check-in for the class will take place on Monday, October 20, 2014, at
8:00 am in the main meeting room at the Hyatt Place Richmond Arboretum with training commencing at 9:00 am. Attendees will be on their own for all meals
with exception of breakfast each day, one working lunch and the reception being
held on Monday, October 20, 2014, which is sponsored by the SPIAA Virginia
Chapter.
Fee includes: Training, Training Materials, breakfast each day for all
attendees, one lunch for all in attendance, the SPIAA Virginia Chapter
reception on Monday evening, and 24 hours of DCJS In-Service Credit. (Virginia
