Corpus Christi is located about 140 miles southeast of San Antonio on Corpus Christi Bay, an inlet off the Gulf of Mexico. The community boasts the 5th largest seaport in the United States by tonnage, and is a center for petrochemical manufacturing, large-scale fabrication, marine research, maritime shipping, and tourism. Candidates must prioritize and be effective at both internal and external communications, and must have knowledge of and experience with intelligence-led policing and the principles of COMPSTAT. A BS/BA degree in Criminal Justice or a related field is required. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
